Stashing through the Snow

I know it is only September, but I have started working on Christmas presents!
Those of ya'll who are crafty and make your own gifts know that starting early is key!
This year I have decided to try my hand and painting glass ornaments.
Here is my first one:

This mustache inspired ornament is for my best friend.
I started with a clear glass ornament and painted it white.
I then painted a black mustache on it and painted the quote on.
Ta da, a cute ornament for her tree!

I can't wait to give this to her!!

If you like this, make sure to subscribe, because I have many more ornaments and hand painted and handmade gift postings coming up!

Happy Birthday, for a Guy!

For us card makers, we all know it is harder to make cards for guys.
I came up with a great, fun card for a guy though!

I used the scrapbook paper as my inspiration and built off of that.
I cut and glued that down.
I then ran washi tape across the top and the bottom of the card.
I took a tag and added a mustache sticker and stamped "sending you birthday wishes".
I then added 3D dots on the back and placed it on the center of the card.
I had some cute tiny washers that worked perfect with this card,
so I used glue dots and adhered three on either side of the card!

Ta da, a great guy card!

This card, and many more, are available in my Etsy shop

Felt Bookmarks

What goes great with a book club?
How about cute handmade bookmarks?!
I made these for the ladies that are starting a book club with me!

I hand drew a pattern for the lips.
I used a mustache pattern from Scraptastical Kreations' KISS This and That set
(www.scraptasticalkreations.com)

I traced each pattern onto felt.
I then simply cut the felt out.
Using permanent makers, I drew a few accents on each bookmark.
I then cut coordinating ribbon.
Using my sewing machine, I sewed the ribbon into place on the bookmarks.

Can't wait to give these out at book club!

More Mustaches Please!

Mustaches seem to be quite the rage lately.
It is easy to see why though, something so simple can look so cute on different objects!
I recently shared with you a heart with a mustache card that I made.
I have made a handful more!

I kept with a red and black theme for all of them.
The red heart really made the mustaches "pop" versus a pink heart.
I really had fun making these and coming up with different types of eyes to draw!
I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

These cards and more are available in my Etsy shop

Heart with a Mustache

I woke up this morning with a neat idea for a Valentine's card...
A heart with a mustache on it!
I came to realize that it probably had already been done, but I still wanted to go for it!

I knew the perfect mustache to use - the one from the "KISS This and That"
paper piecing set from Scraptastical Kreations.
http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com

I used black polka dot paper for the background.
I then trimmed a border of red polka dot paper.
The heart I cut using my Cricut with the "Plantin SchoolBook" cartridge.
I drew the eyes with a black marker with silver accents.
I used a silver marker to add the accents to the mustache.
The mustache is actually adhered with 3D dots, so it sticks up from the card some.
There is black ribbon with three red rhinestones.
Red glitter stickers for the letters "X" and "O".
