Birthday Tags

I wanted to share this cute and colorful birthday tags that I created.

They were really simple and fun to make! I used a paper piecing pattern from http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com to create the cute cupcakes! I thought the polka dot paper for the tops of the cupcakes really stepped them up a notch!

I decorated the top of the cupcakes with different colored bling. The sentiment is stamped.

They are available for purchase at my Etsy shop

A cute cupcake magnet that holds a picture
 And some bling!
Thank you SS!

The Secret Garden

As you all know, I am pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design through The Art Institute. One of my current classes in Contemporary Typography. The ongoing assignment for this course has been a very fun project of designing our own font. The font had to be inspired by a movie or a book, one that is not currently "trending".

I always enjoyed reading The Secret Garden when I was younger and enjoyed the movie as well. The Secret Garden is what inspired my grass growing font. Here is an example of it on a book cover I created using a photograph that I personally took with my camera and then edited in Photoshop.

Secret Sister Day 2

I am participating in a Secret Sister/Secret Santa swap over at Scraptastical Kreations, among the design team ladies. We sent a box of 25 small gifts to our Secret Sister and we open one gift each day.

Day 2 of Secret Santa, I got gold puffy paint and different colored staples! I have never used puffy paint, so I can't wait to see how that looks on my projects! The multicolor staples are always an awesome accent!

Christmas Poinsettia Cards

Christmas is right around the corner! It is hard to believe it is December already. Time sure flies by!

I have been working on a lot of Christmas projects lately - between trying to get presents made for Christmas, participating in events online, and trying to create stock for my Etsy shop.

The following is a set of Christmas poinsettia cards that I made.

Each card has a Christmas themed decorative background with a ribbon running across the length of the card. The card is then decorated with a reddish burgundy flower that has gold glitter. The flower is accented with a gold brad.

This set of cards is available for purchase in my Etsy shop

Day 1 of Secret Santa, got some yummy smelling lotion and a bottle of Christmas cabin card scents! Pretty excited to try that out, I've never used any before! And the lotion is perfect because I use lotion on my hands A LOT in the winter time!

The project I created is one that I remember seeing my Mom do when I was younger. I created Christmas ornaments out of styrofoam balls, ribbon, sequins, seed beads, and sequins pins.

You wrap the ribbon around the styrofoam ball twice, creating four quadrants, and you create a loop with one of your pieces of ribbon. You then proceed to fill the empty spaces with sequins pins that have a seed bead and a sequin on them.

The following are ones that I have created for Christmas gifts this year.
